THE SEA is a fast-paced hybrid of topical thriller and family drama, set on the largely lawless space of the world’s oceans. When a fisheries observer goes missing at sea, her partner leaves the political arena in Brussels to travel to Spain to investigate her potential death. Here, her path crosses with a cunning lobbyist trying to save his daughter, whose life is threatened by the fisheries mafia after she turned from scientist to activist.
