Welcome to Gymnasiedagen at Göteborg Film Festival 2027
On Monday, February 1 and Tuesday, February 2, 2,000 high school students from the Gothenburg region are invited to a free festival day of their own at the Nordic region's largest film festival. Registration is now open for teachers to sign up their class.
Registration closes on November 2.

Together with Filmstaden, Göteborg Film Festival creates an unforgettable festival morning at Biopalatset, filled with film, conversation, and genuine festival and cinema atmosphere. Students get to meet filmmakers, experience a feature film on the big screen, and of course enjoy popcorn and drinks.
All participating students and teachers also receive:
- A Festival Pass — giving access to more festival activities during the week.
- A free ticket to any screening of their choice at Göteborg Film Festival.
- A free ticket to Filmstaden.
Why Gymnasiedagen at Göteborg Film Festival?
The purpose is to give students the chance to encounter Göteborg Film Festival for the first time and discover the cinema as a living meeting place for stories, perspectives, and conversation. The day combines knowledge, inspiration, and community in a unique festival experience, completely free of charge. Note: places are limited. Gymnasiedagen is organised by Göteborg Film Festival with support from Filmstaden and the Swedish Film Institute.

When does Gymnasiedagen take place?
Monday, February 1 and Tuesday, February 2. The festival day starts in the morning and runs until lunchtime. Exact times for each class will be announced along with the placement notification.

The program is presented on January 5. That's when the film to be shown at Gymnasiedagen is also revealed.

At Biopalatset, Kungstorget in Gothenburg.
Who can register?
Any high school teacher in Gothenburg can register their class.
What happens if the class list changes next term?
No problem — there's an option to adjust the number of students after the new year.
Can I join as a teacher?
Of course! Include the number of teachers and any assistants needed. Accompanying adults are responsible for the students throughout the visit.
Is support available for special needs?
