Festival artists

Since 1992, Göteborg Film Festival has entrusted one of its most important communicative platforms — the festival poster and program cover — to an artist given complete creative freedom. It's an important symbol of the artistic freedom the festival stands for.

For several years now, many of the artists have chosen to interpret the festival's theme, ranging from nationalism to AI, from distance to disobedience. 2026 is no exception. The piece Lovisa Sköld painted naturally reflects her artistic signature: glossy lacquered garments, which she ties to this year's focus, Focus: Truth.
