Nordic Film Market 2027 – Call for Discovery Co-production Platform

Nordic films in development

Discovery is Nordic Film Market’s platform for presenting feature films in development. The programme spotlights new Nordic projects and creates opportunities to connect with potential co-production and financing partners.

Each year, more than 500 sales agents, distributors, buyers, producers, funds, public agencies, and other leading industry delegates attend Nordic Film Market, making it the region’s premier meeting place for discovering new projects and talent and connecting with key decision-makers. The 2027 edition of Discovery will feature a lineup of 14–16 projects.

As part of the Discovery platform, selected projects are eligible for the prestigious €15,000 Film Finances Scandinavia Award. This cash development award recognizes one outstanding project from the lineup and provides crucial support for its continued development. The award is generously presented by Film Finances Scandinavia.

Recent Discovery lineups have included acclaimed projects such as Holy Spider (Ali Abbasi), The Opponent (Milad Alami), Pleasure (Ninja Thyberg), The Quiet Migration (Malene Choi Jensen), and Sick of Myself (Kristoffer Borgli).

Discovery presentations and meetings take place during Nordic Film Market at Göteborg Film Festival. The 28th Nordic Film Market will be held February 3–5, 2027.

Call for Projects deadline: October 4, 2026.
