Belgium, 1899. On the remote estate of Baroness de Rosenbeke, young maid Henriette gives birth to… a boy. In a world where men vanished long ago and virgin births are the norm, his existence is both miracle and curse. To protect him, Henriette must defy faith, class, and fear itself.
