Three sisters return to their family’s old country house for their mother Lotta’s sixtieth birthday. But instead of celebrating, the weekend brings unmet expectations, misguided gifts, and a wobbly boat trip. As the summer heat deepens and the family façade cracks, Lotta tries to grasp who she is now that the kids are grown, her mother is gone, and life seems to enter its final chapter. As the blood moon rises, everyone is forced to face themselves — and each other — with a more honest gaze.
